Montbello is northeast of Denver, just south of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, and near the Denver Airport. It lies north of Colfax Avenue. It began to be developed in the 1960s with single family homes. Subdivisions in the neighborhood include Concord, Valley Station, Deer Run, Deer Trail and Gateway Village. It is close to the redevelopment area of the old Stapleton Airport, where future growth is expected to be extensive. It is also near the Fitzsimons Medical Campus and trendy Colfax Avenue. Montbello is one of Denver’s largest neighborhoods with more than 9,000 housing units.
The area contains seven parks, a recreation center, a library and its own high school. The average listing price for a residence is $98,832 and the average sale price is $125,530.
