North Park Hill is one of three administrative sections of Park Hill, a neighborhood in the northeastern section of the city of Denver.In 1887 the original development was established on 32 acres of land east of City Park. In 1898, during the Spanish American War, an area north of the development was used as an encampment for the Colorado National Guard. The first homes went up for sale in 1900. Aftter World War II, development increased in the northern part of the neighborhood.
In the early 1950s, the Dahlia Square Shopping Center opened in Northeast Park Hill atop a landfill. After some years it fell into disrepair and was eventually demolished in 2005 and work on remediation of the landfill was begun in 2006.
North Park Hill has been the most diverse of the three Park Hill neighborhoods. It has many beautiful brick homes and reasonable housing costs. It is near the Park Hill Golf Course, the Denver City Golf Course and the Denver City Park. Average selling price for a home is $241,685 and average listing price is $336,745.
